a house nestled in the nevada desert uses local materials and mimics the natural geography to combat the harsh environment.

Gareth Williams-Wynn‘s insight:

This dwelling shows you the importance of a well executed brief and an understanding of how the climate impacts on your lifestyle. Take your time in viewing the detail within the building http://www.designboom.com/architecture/tresarca-home-in-las-vegas-by-assemblagestudio-3-3-2014/

I like the fire channel set into the floor on the patio in-front of the swing chair and the sense of freedom in the master bathroom layout by using natural materials and expansive glass.
