John Thompson & Partner’s London studio seeks a talented and enthusiastic architect to deliver design proposals and solutions for residential-led outline and detailed planning applications.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified architect or experienced Part 2 assistant with a proven record of preparing successful feasibility studies, concept designs and planning applications for UK residential-led projects ranging in size and complexity.
The role will suit someone with circa 5 years’ experience of:
Developing design solutions using a range of medium including hand sketches, CAD and SketchUp.Successful delivery of planning applications to detailed design stage.Design of residential layouts for small scale and large scale housing developmentsHousing and apartment design in accordance to UK planning; building regulations and relevant housing standardsProduction of design and access statements for outline, detailed and reserved matters applications
The successful candidate will have excellent design and communication skills. Strong technical and graphic communication skills are essential. Experience of Microstation and Revit are
highly advantageous.
